A long time ago my life was out of control. The end product of the direction I was heading was sadly going to be loss of life, or jail time but ultimately eternity in hell. But the truth is my life was no more out of control than many peoples at that time. They may have been seen as more productive member of society, but the end product of their life was the same as mine—a life without Christ, and finally the reward for that life: hell.
I am so thankful that Jesus chose to rescue me, and change the direction of my life. Through His incredible grace I have been His child since 1989, and His path has brought great things into my life. An incredible wife, 8 kids who have changed me deeply for His glory, and years of full time service to Him in pastoral ministry that has seen great things happen.
When I think about the direction of my life and yours, this is what I know: His word is a lamp for our feet, and a light for our path (Psalm 119:105). That word that will lead us, guide us, and teach us the way of salvation. That salvation is what saves us from a direction that we don’t want to go.
Maybe you don’t like the direction of your life right now. Perhaps that is because you have been following the wrong lamp and light. May I encourage you to visit our Know God page; it will give you some clear direction that will steer your life on a path that will fill you with strength, peace, and contentment.
